Yes, you can switch from archery to dual wield if you desire it. I think that you can actually equip either weapons if want, but they'll be weak if you don't have any points in their respective categories. It'll be just as good as if you picked that weapon specialization in the beginning.
In Dragon Age: Inquisition, there are three possible specializations for warriors: Champion, Reaver, and Templar. Champions specialize at protecting their teammates and absorbing large amounts of damage. Reavers will be similar to Dragon Age 1 and 2 – warriors that are adept at dealing large amounts of damage through hurting themselves.
You will unlock the respec potions (for very cheap) before you get a spec. You can respec after getting a spec. But you cannot change your spec choice, just how many points go into it. You can repspec as many times as you can afford. They sell, respec poition in Haven for 1 G. So you can change your Starting abilities.
To add to what the other guy said, you can respec all your skill points with an item from the merchant at the blacksmith. Looks like the first one costs 1 gold, and after that its 300. So you can respec later once you figure out what the fuck you want to do and so you can quickly toss some points in your new specialization.
However, this change means that, with frequent buildup using Energy Barrage, Spirit-Blade can tear apart enemy guards in a single swipe, making it useful against the high dragon trio in Emprise du Lion. If you really want to get into the thick of battle, KE is still great fun. Rift Mage is powerful in that it has the finest crowd control spells.

These 3 mods allow you to play any combo of skills, utilities and items you ever wished to. Want to play a Greatsword wielding Rift Mage archer? Sure. Undead Summoning Shield and Dagger Tempest? Sure. Staff wielding spell slinging tank? Sure. Stealth using Templar Knight Enchanter with Sword and Dagger? Sure.
You can also go as a SnS Reaver which will give you more dps but you won't be as tanky as Champion. If you do go Champion, make sure to add masterworks that give abilities like Hidden Blade on hit and Walking Bomb on hit to up your dps. 3DS FC: 1693-1103-7291. This is my first video showing you how to change your parents and Dragon age Inquisition. If you're like me then you probably spent a couple hours trying to
You can easily knock enemies around, shift their positions, and lock them down as well. In works quite well with the Winter tree (you can perform a cross-class combo solo by freezing enemies and then s***tering them with Stonefist) as well as with Templar-specced Warriors (Cassandra, in your case) who can also inflict Weaken.
Donation Points system. This mod is not opted-in to receive Donation Points. These mods switch around the Focus abilities for Inquisitor and companion specializations. These mods can be used for both new and existing saves. Assassins now have Thousand Cuts. Artificers now have Cloak of Shadows. Tempests now have Hail of Arrows.
Champion is one of the two broken classes. Its DPS isn't even that bad, actually. It's got one of the great boss-killer moves of the game. To The Death increases all damage they receive by 5% per second for every second you are within range.
No, instead you use barriers and guard to provide temporary health in combat. You can still make a mage that specializes in making strong barriers, if that's the playstyle you want. Bascally insted of healing damage your given ways to prevent it in the first place. Though its still stupid when npcs constantly talk about having mages heal people
